What’s Your Favorite U.S. National Park?

Hey, it is been a whilst, has not it? I really do not think I have published a weblog post in a calendar year or so. I hope you are all executing well in these ridiculous occasions. As usually, many thanks for examining.

I have a question: What is your most loved U.S. Countrywide Park?

About the previous two decades, I’ve fallen in appreciate with them.

Just before the pandemic, I experienced only visited a handful of them, typically by accident. But when the pandemic strike, and it was harmless adequate to street-journey, I drove all all around the nation traveling to them.

Now I’ve viewed 15 out of 63. And sometime, I’d like to see them all.

Initially, there was Redwood National Park, with its towering trees and black-sand beaches…

Then Indiana Dunes, with its sprawling views of nuclear reactors…

Then Utah, house to some of the best countrywide parks in the state: I visited Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, and Zion.

Mountaineering the Canyons at Zion. I’d like to do it again in the course of the summer time!

Right after Utah, I visited Mammoth Cave (Kentucky) and Warm Springs (Arkansas), on the way to Austin, which is where by I are living now.

Then there was Major Bend, Texas. The night sky is unbelievable there! You can see so quite a few stars.

Adopted by Petrified Forest in New Mexico…

And most not too long ago, Glacier (Montana) and Grand Teton (Wyoming). Glacier Nationwide Park reminded me of Switzerland with its alpine valleys, purple wildflowers, and jagged mountains. I even observed mountain goats.

I truly feel so lucky that I’ve gotten to see so a lot of our lovely state in the past handful of a long time.

When I was more youthful, I concentrated only on worldwide travel (this blog site is not termed Ashley Abroad for nothin’). But above the earlier two several years, I’m satisfied to report that I’ve obtained a newfound appreciation for my individual yard.

It turns out you don’t have to fly halfway all-around the environment to go on an adventure.

As for my most loved? It is a two-way tie involving Redwood and Large Bend.
