Mumbai: Two held right after cops intercept tempo, uncover Rs 3.5 crore ganja | Mumbai Information

MUMBAI: Town police’s anti-narcotics mobile (ANC) has arrested two males and seized 1,800kg ganja worthy of Rs 3.5 crore from a tempo close to Vikhroli on the Japanese Convey Freeway. Law enforcement experienced laid a trap and intercepted the tempo at 5pm on Friday.

The duo has been booked under Narcotic Medication and Psychotropic Substances Act. “There are three legal cases from Yadav in Gujarat,” claimed DCP Dutta Nalawade, ANC.
“We are now looking for the most important operator, Satpute, who would receive the prescription drugs in Maharashtra and offer them. He owned a godown in Bhiwandi for this objective. The gang would retain the services of a tempo and a driver would just take it out of the city. Later, another driver would take it to a district on Andhra Pradesh border. The driver would be asked to remain in a lodge. A different driver would take the tempo to Odisha where he would collect the ganja, include it with coconuts and carry it to the lodge. The driver at the lodge would be asked to choose the tempo to Maharashtra,” claimed Bharambe. When the driver achieved Mumbai, he would be replaced by a different who would acquire the tempo to Bhiwandi.
One Laxmi Pradhan from Odhisha allegedly sold medications to Satpute. Yadav would get Rs 25,000 for every excursion and Sonu, used by Pradhan, obtained Rs 35,000 for every thirty day period. The ganja would be purchased for Rs 8,000 per kg from Pradhan and sold in Maharashtra for Rs 18,000-20,000, claimed cops.
